Digital Society Interview 2: Cory Doctorow
At the re:publica 2019 in Berlin I have been talking to Cory Doctorow. He is activist, science fiction author, journalist and blogger from Canada. Answering the question for his vision of a good an resilient society he adresses topics like pluralism and openness. The question of what happens to digital public space leads him to the metaphor of digital public space as an exlusive private shopping mall.
His comments on the European role in the copyright directive connect very well to our Video colloquium with MEP Axel Voss, Alek Tarkowski and Bozhidar Bozhanov on the European Copyright Directive and possible alternatives.
