First Satellite Event of the „Colloquium European Societies in digital Age“ – Panel discussion September 5th, Marseille
The “Colloquium European Societies in digital Age”, a project by German think tank “Gustav Stresemann Institut“ (GSI) and funded among others by the EU Commission, aims at sharing experiences and sum up knowledge about the challenges European countries face as part of the digitalisation. The goal is also to stabilise democratic processes and make them less exploitable. Join the discussion on Wednesday, September 5, at Marseille!
In what digital society do we want to live? How can we be happy in a digital society, what connects us? What is the glue that holds us together as a community?
The project wants to help establish a heterogeneous network that enables opinions to be formed on a transnational level and also to exchange experiences and thus provide fertile ground for mature democratic processes in the future.
As follow-up of the successful kick-off in June in Bonn, Germany, the „Colloquium European Societies in digital Age“ now organizes discussion panels in European countries. The first of these panels will take place on September 5th in Marseille, supported by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung).
The panel discussion will focus on the specific French challenges towards digital society. We want to get an impression of the French digital discourses and approaches and want to document what other countries, people and organisations can learn from it.
You are cordially invited to contribute to this discussion on
Wednesday September 5th, 8 p.m.,and to share your ideas with our experts, the audience and us.
Panelists include:Sylvain Lapoix, Datajournaliste, Coauteur, #Datagueule. Other French experts have been invited. We look forward to you joining our European discussion. RSVP by September 3rd to m.muenz@gsi-bonn.de
